After an illustrious career, our automaker's celebrated mid-size pickup went on indefinite hiatus in 2011. But now, the new 2019 Ford Ranger is back in Florissant, MO in XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, and it's gone full-size on all that you could hope to find in a new Ford truck. See what we mean here at Paul Cerame Ford -- take the virtual tour!

  • Durability's on prominent display. A rugged body-on-frame construction, stalwart fully boxed, high-strength-steel frame, and hard-wearing frame-mounted steel front and rear bumpers help ensure that, whether you're at work or play, your truck stands the test of time and Mother Nature.
  • Handling's responsive and agility's not in question. Every Ranger features a double-wishbone front suspension and rear parabolic leaf springs, strong coil springs, monotube shocks, and knuckles forged from aluminum. The result is a pickup that's just as dependable as it is enjoyable to drive.

  • A turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine paired with a 10-speed auto transmission propels Ranger anywhere the highway or wide-open, off-road spaces call. It's capable of 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, which make for eager acceleration and hard work through the thick of it.
  • Expect great fuel economy. The truck can achieve up to 21 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined, according to the EPA.

  • No matter your destination, Ranger can get you there, whether you've got to pass over the river or through the woods. A 4x4 drivetrain and a rear locking differential are available for reliable traction, as is a Terrain Management System with specialized modes for churning across gravel and grass, plowing through snow, taking on mud and ruts, and kicking up sand. Plus, there's an optional Trail Control system that simulates low-speed cruise control, making crawling a crag or two a lot easier.
  • With a SuperCab 4x2 payload rating of up to 1,860 pounds, it's a breeze to take on anything from building materials and power tools to outboard equipment. You've got a choice between 5- and 6-foot beds for the purpose, too.
  • You can tow as much as 7,500 pounds -- meaning no need to leave that ATV, jet ski, or fishing boat home for the weekend.

  • If you're wondering just how committed Ford is to your security, look no further than the tons of active driver-assistance features in Ranger. Many come standard; a lot more come available throughout the lineup. They range from adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic alert, monitoring for a trailer, and a driver alert feature to pedestrian detection, a forward collision warning system, dynamic brake support, forward and reverse sensing systems, and more. There's even a new Ford Co-Pilot360 suite that includes auto high beams, a blind-spot monitoring system, a pre-collision assist feature with auto emergency brakes, a lane-keeping system, and a rear-view camera.

  • Choose between SuperCab or SuperCrew configurations. You'll discover seating for four to five in either cloth or leather trim. Each seat's bucket-style for comfort that hugs your contours. Available dual-zone electronic auto temp control makes getting the cabin just right a snap.

  • The Ranger cockpit's a command center. Select either a 4.2-inch SYNC or the larger optional 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment system to put control of entertainment and connectivity within reach.
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available to let you access your mobile phone's apps in-dash.
  • The pickup supports both voice-activated navigation and the crowd-sourced nav app, Waze, making getting between destinations a matter of course.
  • Ford+Alexa interoperability dovetails with your favorite virtual assistant.
  • You can get on the Web thanks to FordPass Connect Wi-Fi support.
  • The available Bang & Olufsen premium audio system cranks out 675 watts of sonic power through 10 speakers, transforming your road mix into a symphony.
